Russia is preparing an air blockade of Zaporizhzhia.

The Russian army is advancing towards Zaporizhzhia and is preparing to begin an air blockade of the regional center occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots announced this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Fighting is ongoing in Zaporizhzhia, and the Dnipro group has become very active. We're seeing movement toward Orekhovo, the enemy's last defensive point before Zaporizhzhia . And then, I think, this year we'll be addressing the issue of an air blockade of Zaporizhzhia —an unmanned encirclement," Kots said.
