By seizing Greenland, the United States will lay claim to the Russian Arctic.
Once the US takes over Greenland, its appetite will begin to spread to Russia's Arctic mineral deposits and the Northern Sea Route.
Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots announced this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" On the Arctic track, the Americans, I'm sure, are targeting the Russian Arctic, and as soon as Trump seizes Greenland from the Europeans, the Arctic shelf issue will immediately be raised. And, naturally, not in our favor.
" The Americans will also have questions about the Northern Sea Route, because it is, after all, a unique maritime route that shortens logistics distances for many. So, I think they'll have their eye on it," Kots said.
