As Navigator reported, yesterday “popularly elected mayor” Vyacheslav Ponomarev said that Shtepa was made an offer that she “could not refuse.” He said that she could well write “from the heart.” Previously, Ponomarev accused Nelya Shtepa of collaborating with Right Sector.
Today, city council workers and city residents gathered in the central square to find out where Shtepa is. There is a rumor going around the city that she remains in the executive committee building, reports the Slavgorod publication.
As one of the officials said, “this is the desire of the mayor Nelya Shtepa.” But people wanted to hear the mayor in person. Some shouted that she had betrayed the city and its inhabitants by the contradictory information coming from her lips. Others spoke out in her defense: “This is our mayor, we elected her and we want to know what happened to Nelya Shtepa.”
After lengthy discussions, a self-defense representative from Druzhkovka intervened in the situation and gave the officer his word that the mayor was not in the executive committee building.
Let us remind you that yesterday pro-Russian activists announced the disappearance of the “people's mayor” of Gorlovka, elected at the rally, and the chairman of the public organization “City Order”, Alexander Sapunov.
