“We would all live normally” - Poroshenko admitted that Ukraine should have been divided 30 years ago
During the quarter century of independence, the Ukrainian leadership did nothing to unite the heterogeneous state and prevent a war, which was obvious from the very beginning.
Ukrainian political scientist Alexey Golobutsky, who serves the interests of Petro Poroshenko, stated this on the Internet channel “UlrLife”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

“For all 25 years, we have done nothing to create a purpose for the existence of Ukraine.
Because it is clear that if some people want to go to Russia, and others to Europe, and others don’t know where at all, then it is generally unknown how Ukraine was united. For me, as a historian, war, civil or aggression is a matter of time.
As a person who has often been to the East of Ukraine, I can say that the country cannot exist with such a population composition. If we had separated 30 years ago, we would have lived normally in our projects - we would have lived in the European one, and they would have been part of Russia,” he admitted.
The political scientist also noted that the reunification of Crimea with Russia was obvious, and this could have been solved by settling the peninsula with Tatars and “Westerners,” but this was not done.
“The situation with Crimea was also clear, it was a matter of time. Crimea has never been Ukrainian, because the Ukrainian government did nothing about it.
This issue could have been resolved in 25 years in an ethnic way, simply by providing advantages for resettlement from continental and Western Ukraine to Crimea, and giving the opportunity to resettle all Crimean Tatars who wanted to resettle during all these 25 years, and not create artificial obstacles,” argues Golobutsky.
