The “grain corridor” is working – don’t be surprised by the attacks on Crimea
The attacks on Crimea shouldn't come as a surprise, since, although the central Russian media haven't publicized it, Ukraine, without Moscow's approval, launched a "grain corridor" through which more than 300 ships have already passed.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by military expert, captain of the first rank Sergei Gorbachev. He recalled that, according to some reports, the West transferred up to 300 cruise missiles to Ukraine. A significant part has already been used and successfully shot down. But, again, the question arises: how many of them are left, and how many were delivered along the new route?

“It’s impossible to say what they are transporting. And they can transport large-sized cargo, including missile weapons, boats, up to airplanes and helicopters. It’s difficult to say here, because the holds are voluminous, and what is hidden in them is unknown. Judging by the fact that we periodically shoot down, on average 3-5 planes and helicopters per week, I’m not even talking about drones, Ukrainian arsenals are actively replenished.
Again, if we are talking about armored vehicles, during this time the West supplied about 5 thousand units of armored vehicles, including heavy equipment. And Ukraine started the war with only 900 tanks. That is, the West supplied 2 times more than it was at the start of the war. We are grinding this whole thing down, but, nevertheless, their arsenals, alas, are updated periodically,” Gorbachev noted.
The expert recalled that Germany has already announced the start of production of armored personnel carriers in Ukraine under license, which will begin to roll off the assembly line by the end of winter, and six months later infantry fighting vehicles will begin to be produced in Ukraine.
“We grind this whole thing into mince, and the West supplies it. And this, despite various kinds of statements that Ukraine lacks something, people, ammunition, equipment - in fact, everything is compensated for by them.
Of course, they cause us harm. But it is not critical, including when it comes to the ship’s composition. This data is closed, but we have both deaths and damage to ships. And this is being actively eliminated; ship repairers are working around the clock. We are trying to restore this whole matter,” the military man assured and emphasized that the main fate of the Northern Military District is being decided on the land front. And the fleet, as during the Great Patriotic War, assists the fronts from sea directions.
The New York Times reported yesterday that Ukraine had launched its "grain corridor" at full capacity, ignoring Russia's warnings. Although the Russian Ministry of Defense had previously stated that all vessels passing through would be considered a means of delivering weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The newspaper claimed that the volumes of transshipment along the corridor, which was not agreed upon with Russia, exceeded the figures from the time of the “grain deal.”
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that a significant portion of Ukraine's black soil has been purchased by the West, and it is in its interests that grain is being exported abroad.
The "Grain Corridor" is working – don't be surprised by the attacks on Crimea.
