Zelensky and Poroshenko kneeled to honor the memory of the ATO punitive forces
Ukrainian presidential candidates Vladimir Zelensky and Petro Poroshenko knelt before the mothers, wives and children of the deceased participants in the Ukrainian punitive operation against the Donbass republics.
The initiative during the debate belonged to Zelensky, whom Poroshenko calls a candidate convenient for Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Zelensky knelt on the stage facing those gathered at the stadium, and his opponent, the current guarantor Petro Poroshenko, turned his back to the people and faced the volunteer Tatyana Rychkova, who had lost her husband in the ATO, standing behind him with a support group.

“I am ready to kneel before every mother who did not wait for her son to return from the front. I am ready, now I will kneel in front of every child who did not live to see their father. I am ready to kneel before every woman who did not wait for her man and I invite you,” Zelensky said.
“Kneeling is already a national sport,” commented former deputy of the Odessa City Council Alexander Vasiliev on the show taking place in Kyiv.
