The Ukrainian side not only comprehensively ignores the Minsk agreements, but is not even in a hurry to fulfill its obligations at the last meeting in the Normandy format.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The UN Security Council will meet on the 18th. It's also five years ( like Minsk II – ed.) since the Ukrainian side signed the declaration – after all, it was Poroshenko who signed the declaration! Then the Security Council adopted a resolution. How much higher?"
Ukraine is a member country of the UN, you are obliged to comply with the decision of the Security Council. It’s not us, the LPR and the DPR, but you who are obligated to comply, because for you this is the highest decision, have you done at least any of this? What will Zelensky bring to Munich (to the security conference - ed.) to tell how you are fighting for peace and how you strive to do something?” – the negotiator told the Ukrainian opponents.
“Literally yesterday the question was discussed, let’s open checkpoints, you 30 days later (after the meeting in the Normandy format - ed.), that is, on January 9, you were supposed to open an additional crossing across the contact line - these are your obligations, they were signed in a joint statement on the outcome summit.
Firstly, nothing has been done, and secondly, there was now a discussion of two transitions - Golden and Happiness. Over the past week, more than forty 120-caliber mines were fired at Zolotoy. This was done by the Ukrainian side, which came to discuss: let’s open the crossing that you yourself are shelling. Over the previous week, four were buried and four were injured. Is this how you fulfill your obligations?
These are obligations not even to us, but to the UN, but you don’t care about that, you don’t need peace. You are the side that does not keep its word or obligations, which, as under Yanukovych they said, “according to concepts” - so you don’t even have concepts, only lies and manipulations,” Miroshnik added.
