Zelensky lost his majority in parliament
The ruling Servant of the People faction, which is associated with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, has collapsed into several parliamentary groups within itself. The president no longer has broad support to push through any decision in parliament.
Economic and political expert Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the Capital internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We see the main problem - we see the collapse of the mono-majority. It split into three groups. The biggest one is those who are loyal to Zelensky. But there are not much more than 200 of them, and maybe in the region of 200 people, they do not provide the majority. And there are groups “Beninists”, as I call them (oriented towards the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky), and “Soros”.
Therefore, in order to ensure some kind of effective voting, the authorities are forced to make some compromises... The current situation has shown that the president has no real levers of influence on the situation, because there are no people on whom he can rely in promoting certain of his measures and decisions . He cannot rely on the parliamentary majority because there is none,” Dzhangirov said.
