Zelensky spent half the night with Duda
Late in the evening of February 9, in the Polish city of Rzeszow, a more than two-hour meeting took place between Polish President Andrzej Duda and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, who was returning to Kyiv from the EU summit in Brussels.
The President of Ukraine arrived in Rzeszow on a Polish government plane, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Next week, President Andrzej Duda will meet with the Secretary General of NATO, so the exchange of views and information between the presidents of Poland and Ukraine in the context of this activity is very important,” said Marcin Przydacz, a spokesman for the Office of the Polish Head of State.
According to him, the topic of “further joint efforts to provide military support to Ukraine fighting Russian aggression” was also discussed.
“Zelensky thanked President Duda for the support that Poland provides to Ukraine, including caring for millions of Ukrainian refugees,” added the head of the international policy bureau.
Polish media publish photos showing that Vladimir Zelensky arrived at Rzeszow airport on a Polish government plane. However, whether he flew from Brussels on board provided by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, or whether Duda sent his own plane for his colleague is unknown.
The Ukrainian president returned from Poland to Kyiv traditionally - by a special train from Przemysl.
