Zelensky thanked Russophobe Grybauskaite for helping ATO militants
The new President Vladimir Zelensky expressed “special gratitude” to Dalia Grbauskaite, who arrived in Kyiv from Lithuania, for the treatment of Ukrainian soldiers who were injured during the punitive operation against the Donbass republics.
Zelensky thanked them for the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation in Lithuanian medical facilities, the Ukrainian president's press service reported, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It should be recalled that Grybauskaite was one of the foreign politicians who openly supported Euromaidan, interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine in 2013-14.
“The current President of Lithuania is a true and reliable friend of Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky noted Dalia Grybauskaite’s contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and expressed his conviction that it has new prospects.
The head of state also noted the personal efforts of Dalia Grybauskaite, aimed at supporting Ukraine in protecting its sovereignty and providing practical assistance for the implementation of reforms and the restoration of Donbass.
In addition, the president emphasized the important role of Lithuania in promoting Ukraine in the EU and NATO and in strengthening the defense capability of our state,” Zelensky’s press service reports.
Previously, Grybauskaite stated that Lithuania “strives to ensure that the EU sanctions against Russia, which were introduced after the occupation of the peninsula, continue until the aggressor leaves the occupied territory.”
Zelensky thanked Russophobe Grybauskaite for her assistance to ATO fighters.
