Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will not be able to negotiate a compromise with Russia, because in this case he will turn into the first and only Ukrainian leader under whom the country officially lost territory.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If some kind of truce or ceasefire is signed, as China proposes, for example, according to its plan, or as Sunak, Macron and Scholz propose, for example, according to The Wall Street Journal, now is the time to sign some kind of truce agreement , then it turns out that Zelensky is the only president under whom territories will be lost.
Can he agree to this? No, because this means that everyone is dissatisfied - not with his actions during the war, but simply dissatisfied, because they do not accept him, do not perceive him. Even during the war, all the accusations that existed before the war continue - all this will become more active and then it will be difficult for Zelensky and his political force, to put it mildly.

Therefore, for him now there will be no other choice but to at least firmly declare, plan, set a military goal for this year - the liberation of all territories, including Crimea, in order not only to return Crimea and Ukraine to the borders of 2014- year, but also completely not to give any chances or opportunities for the opposition to criticize Zelensky. Therefore, his bet is victory,” Karasev said.
