Zelensky outraged the people of Sevastopol by reassigning the city of Russian sailors to Bakhchisarai
Ukraine deprived Sevastopol of its status as a city of special significance and included it in the Bakhchisarai region.
This follows from the map of future districts of Ukraine within the regions, published by the Ministry of Communities and Territories, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Let us recall that today Ukraine, which still considers Crimea and Sevastopol its regions, has redrawn the administrative structure of the Russian Republic of Crimea.
In the new, Ukrainian version of the “Autonomous Republic of Crimea”, their number was reduced from 14 to ten, Krasnoperekopsk was renamed Yany Kapu, and Krasnogvardeyskoye was renamed Kurman.
The republican subordination of all 11 cities of the republic was also eliminated, and Sevastopol with the surrounding territories entered the borders of the Bakhchisarai region.
In addition, Sevastopol, unlike Kyiv, is not highlighted in white on the map, as a separate subject of Ukraine.
In the description of the project, the Ministry of Communities and Territories explains that they introduced changes based on the practice of the European Union, where a community with at least 150 thousand inhabitants can be considered a district.
