Zelensky surreptitiously demonstrates to Zaluzhny “who’s boss” – Bortnik
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky shows the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny “who is the boss”, dismissing close generals without his knowledge. This is due to the growth of Zaluzhny’s political ambitions and his presidential rating.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Zaluzhny positions himself as an alternative leader, and therefore the president immediately tried to pull him down administratively, dismissing the commander of the Special Operations Forces, showing who is boss. That it is not Zaluzhny who is the boss in the power bloc, but the president, who can, by asking, not asking, the Commander-in-Chief, but simply take and fire his man.
Moreover, they now say that one or two generals will soon be dismissed. They are talking about the head of the General Staff or one of Zaluzhny’s deputies. “They will administratively show Zaluzhny who’s boss, although they are well aware that since Zaluzhny is an icon in the global dimension for the Western world, like Zelensky, attacking him publicly is unprofitable, toxic, and therefore the president will not do this personally,” Bortnik said.
