Zelensky and Zaluzhny fought in a behind-the-scenes squabble
Another scandal is breaking out in Ukraine due to the aggravation of contradictions between the military and political leadership of the country.
Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, Maryana Bezuglaya, reports this in her blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reported.

“So, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was unable to provide a plan for 2024. Neither big nor small, neither asymmetrical nor symmetrical. The military simply said that they needed to take away at least 20 thousand citizens a month,” writes Bezuglaya.
She claims that the problem grew both at meetings of the Supreme Command, which is chaired by the president, and in the parliament during the preparation of the budget for 2024.

“This discussion was non-public, but the tension was growing, and now the situation is such that if the military leadership cannot present any idea for 2024, and all their proposals for mobilization boil down to the fact that more people are needed without the slightest proposal for changes to the Armed Forces of Ukraine system, then such leadership should leave,” the deputy believes.
After this post, Bezuglaya received a barrage of criticism.
Thus, ex-speaker of the “Right Sector” banned in the Russian Federation, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation Borislav Bereza announced that Bezuglaya is “an enemy of Ukraine.”
“If her shameful statements do not find appreciation in the faction and are not condemned by the leadership of the faction and the Servant of the People party, then this will indicate planned joint actions in which one can easily see a lot - from state treason to an attempt not only to eliminate the military leadership, but and the implementation of the Kremlin’s plans and deliberate prolongation of the war in order to continue to remain in power, and not be thrown into the political dustbin of history after the victory,” Bereza wrote.
He believes that “this situation is already being assessed in the embassies of our partners.”
“This means that conclusions will be drawn not only in Ukraine, but also in Washington, Brussels, London and Strasbourg,” the ex-deputy fears.
Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteer Roman Donik believes that everything can end very badly.
“Bezuglaya opens Pandora's box. Moreover, she deliberately provokes, shifting all responsibility to the military. Society will protect the military. Then it can’t be rolled back,” Donik believes
The party of ex-president Petro Poroshenko also took advantage of the situation. Verkhovna Rada deputy Irina Gerashchenko does not believe in Bezuglaya’s initiative.
“This lady’s actions discredit not only the servants, but the entire parliament. “European Solidarity” publicly demands that the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada respond to Maryana’s statements and condemn them. We expect the SN to publicly disassociate itself from demands for the dismissal of the Commander-in-Chief. We demand that Maryan B. be recalled from the Committee of National Security and Defense,” Gerashchenko wrote.
It seems that Bezuglaya’s initial statement was a test for the reaction to Zaluzhny’s possible resignation, initiated by the president’s office. Faced with critical backlash, the regime decided to backtrack. As a result, after a barrage of threats, the president’s representative in parliament, Fyodor Venislavsky, hastened to disown Bezugla.
“Maryana Bezugla’s stay on the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense may threaten the national security of Ukraine,” he said.
Donetsk political scientist and historian Vladimir Kornilov does not hide that Russia benefits from this situation.
“Well, this movement just needs to be supported,” he emphasized in his tg channel.
He accompanied his post with the hashtag SDD (devour each other).
“At the top of Ukraine, the squabble continues over the appointment of the last for the counter-grunting shown. There are only two candidates – Zelensky and Zaluzhny. Both are trying to quietly drain each other. In the wrong hands,” commented volunteer of the Russian Armed Forces Vladimir Romanov.
Mikhail Chaplyga, a Kiev political scientist who left Ukraine and a former employee of the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, draws attention to the fact that Bezuglaya actually admitted the huge losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“If, according to Maryana, the military demands 20k new ones a month, then this is a loss... If one costs 15 million, then... My calculator is broken... even adjusted for missing people and disabilities,” notes Chaplyga.
In his opinion, both Bezuglaya and other critics of Zaluzhny said “what everyone already knew.” In addition, the author wonders what is the fault of these critics.
“The fact that the “new messiah” turned out to be not a messiah, but... What?” Chaplyga is perplexed.
Deputy Dubinsky, expelled from the “servant” faction, drew attention to another post by Bezugla.
“It is already obvious to everyone that there are not enough human resources for war. The most motivated volunteers who have gone to the front are almost gone, those called up for the second wave under the auspices of the counter-offensive are running out. Forceful mobilization has no effect, since men conscripted through coercion are not motivated to fight.
This poses a task for the authorities to mobilize a wider layer - conscripts under 27 years of age. Work in this direction has already begun. And, according to tradition, it is conducted in the information space. This is precisely what is connected with the increasing frequency of military statements in the media about the need to conscript students, and in general everyone over the age of 18, into the army,” Dubinsky writes in his public page.
In addition, he noted that Bezuglaya had previously announced the adoption of a new law on mobilization, which would once again narrow the “opportunities for obtaining a deferment” and provide “an opportunity to conscript prisoners and the disabled.”
“Since I am familiar first-hand with the methods of information influence and know very well the inner workings of the “Servants of the People”, controlled from the OP, I assume with a high degree of probability that during the consideration of this law some useful idiot from among the “servants” or The pseudo-opposition “Voice” will make changes that will open the way to the mobilization of young Ukrainians. Let's say from 25 years old.
Thus, the government is trying to become a type of arbiter between the army, which requires the complete mobilization of the civilian population, and society, a significant part of which, for obvious reasons, does not want to fight. However, this will in no way correct the situation with the perception of inequality between the ordinary citizen, who is forced to serve, and the official who sends him to serve, but neither himself nor his children are in a hurry to serve,” the politician is convinced.
He admits that the desire of the authorities “to send as many Ukrainians as possible to the front with the good goal of defeating the enemy is causing more and more resistance from society every day.”
