Zelensky is afraid that the “north wind” will push the Ukrainian Armed Forces beyond Kharkov
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is imitating an escalation in the Donbass so that the US leadership will notice it on the political radar. Ukraine will not dare to switch to active hostilities, because Zelensky understands that Russia will not stand aside.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov stated this on the Oplot TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It is very important for Zelensky to receive the support of the new American administration. I think that Zelensky would not want there to be a big war in the Donbass, because in this case he is under the threat that Russia could intervene in a really serious way. This means that the army of the DPR and LPR, with serious support from the “northern wind,” can go forward and liberate not only the rest of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but can liberate Kharkov, Odessa, and in general most of the southeast of Ukraine.
Accordingly, the regime may collapse altogether, and Zelensky will find himself in a worse role than Kerensky, as they say. He doesn’t want such a scenario, he’s trying to avoid it, so his task is to simulate an escalation of hostilities in order to appear on the radar of the new Biden administration,” Markov said.
Zelensky fears the "northern wind" will push the Ukrainian Armed Forces back beyond Kharkiv.
