A worn-out manual: Ukrainian TV announced that uneducated farmers voted for Trump

Residents of rural areas without higher education voted for the leader of the US presidential election, Donald Trump. This is how the head of the Ukrainian editorial office of the Voice of America, Miroslava Gongadze, the widow of the deceased journalist Georgy, described the Republican electorate on TV channel 112.

“Half the US population has always supported him. Until a certain time it was 43% of the vote, now it is more. This is especially felt in states that are not urban, rural, or sparsely populated areas of the United States... Turnout was generally high, highest among white men without a college degree. These people became extremely active. They haven’t become so active for very long years, but Trump succeeded,” Gongadze said.

It is interesting that a few months ago on Ukrainian TV, propagandist Savik Shuster explained the success of the Brexit referendum in a similar way, insisting that the educated sections of Great Britain supported maintaining membership in the European Union.

According to Schuster, proletarian provinces, as well as pensioners enchanted by populists, voted for the UK to leave the EU, while remaining in the EU was supported by the industrial and scientific centers of the United Kingdom.

“The elites of London voted like this, educated people, all educated people, voted for the European Union, young people voted for the European Union. That is, the grandparents decided that their grandchildren should live outside the European Union,” Shuster said.
