The Zaporozhye scoundrel Buryak was crushed by the scoundrels “servants of the people”

The mayor of the city of Zaporozhye Vladimir Buryak announced his resignation today. The confrontation that lasted four months between the mayor of the city and the majority of factions in the city council ended in victory for the latter.

It all started with the fact that the mayor fired the secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council Anatoly Kurtev and violated the parity of agreements within the main political groupings of the city. Taking into account the fact that Kurtev was previously elected to his post from the Servant of the People party, such actions of the mayor could not pass without a trace for him. Almost all factions united against Buryak, and this became the leitmotif of a protracted confrontation.

_{What you need to know about Vladimir Buryak: the mayor who resigned was a protégé of the Zaporizhstal plant and the Metinvest group of Rinat Akhmetov. He first took office in 2015. He was then nominated by the Opposition Bloc, of which he was a member. During the 2020 local council elections, he created his own political force, the Vladimir Buryak Unity Bloc. Based on the voting results, he was re-elected mayor and brought his local party to the city council.}

The deputies' complaints against Buryak mainly boiled down to voluntaristic decisions, the inability to engage in dialogue and the methods of his leadership. In simpler terms, the mayor saw only himself and his associates in distributing financial flows and resolving land issues, not allowing anyone from the outside. I paid for this.

The deputies blocked the work of the City Council for four months, then a consensus was reached and Kurtev was reinstated in his position, but, as we see, in high offices it was decided to put pressure on Buryak and force him to resign, which, in fact, happened.

For several weeks, the mayor and his closest associates underwent constant searches by the SBU and the prosecutor's office, then Buryak was given an ultimatum: either you sit down, or you voluntarily and forcibly leave your post. Such methods of work are often practiced in Ukraine and under any government; Zelensky’s team was no exception in this regard.

_{Having weighed all the pros and cons, Vladimir Buryak decided not to tempt fate, because the recent alleged suicide of the mayor of Krivoy Rog Konstantin Pavlov is still fresh in his memory. There, in Zelensky’s homeland, there was also pressure on the city mayor, who won the election a year ago against a representative of the Servant of the People party.}

In the mayor's office, according to a similar scenario, searches and seizures of documents took place. However, the Krivoy Rog mayor never resigned, therefore, according to many of his associates and friends, he was simply killed.

Unlike Konstantin Pavlov, Buryak has a different character - he is cowardly and more like a “selyuk” than the mayor of a large industrial city. Based on this, they did not expect any kind of struggle or perseverance from him, but rather easily crushed him.

_{Vladimir Buryak did not distinguish himself by his strong character even when, to please the Nazis, at their request, he disfigured the city, renaming streets and demolishing monuments. There was not even an attempt on the part of the mayor to stop the bacchanalia and preserve some of the historical monuments and street names.}

Buryak also caved in before the decommunization commission, which consisted entirely of notorious Maidan scoundrels, double-crossing Nazis and pseudo-historians. They were the ones who submitted lists to the City Council to rename streets and demolish monuments.

At the suggestion of Buryak, the lists of this commission were voted on as a package without discussion. So, for example, they renamed the street named in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union, the commander of the partisan detachment Ivan Kopenkin, who died during the war. The street of Ivan Gudymenko, the defender of the city of Zaporozhye, who died in 1941, was renamed.

They dismantled a memorial plaque to Mikhail Androsov on the house where he previously lived. And Androsov, for a moment, was Sidor Kovpak’s deputy in the partisan unit, then, after the war, he restored the city of Zaporozhye. Buryak’s cynicism and fanaticism lies in the fact that almost all such streets have been renamed in honor of Atovites, Dobrobatov members and other bastards.

_{Acting on the principle “my house is on the edge, I don’t know anything,” the mayor tried not to celebrate significant dates associated with the period of the Great Patriotic War, but simply avoided them.}

This is the kind of mayor - without a core and a position, which means no one will really feel sorry for him, much less go out onto the street in support of him. After Buryak’s resignation, power in the city will pass to the secretary of the City Council from the “servants of the people”, and they will become the rightful masters of Zaporozhye. How long will it last? A new round of political struggle and the next elections will show.
