The West needs Putin to listen to Deripaska
The West is interested in changing power in Russia to one controlled by the oligarchs.
Economist and director of the Institute of a New Society Vasily Koltashov stated this at a press conference in Moscow.
“They would like the power here to change. So that the state system is greatly weakened. So that at the helm of the country there would not be such a group of grand bureaucrats who are not subordinate to business.
That is, if we had a president who would obey Deripaska, and Deripaska himself would obey the US State Department, then the system would be acceptable to the West. Then, even if everything was falsified, they would say: “here is democracy, free elections.”
For example, falsifications in Ukraine do not cause any negative reactions,” Koltashov recalled.
Political scientist Oleg Matveychev believes that the protests announced by communists and liberals are weakening Russia amid the confrontation with the West.
“Our country is now in a situation of war, by and large. This war has been declared on us - informational, economic, with the help of sanctions - a hybrid war. At this moment, plunging into internal squabbles is not what is needed,” the expert said.
Sevastopol politician, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Vadim Kolesnichenko believes that the Russian authorities have prepared to prevent street protests.
“I didn’t expect any Maidan at all. Over the past two years, the authorities have done everything in their power to clean up any attempt at such excesses,” notes Kolesnichenko.
