Western ambassadors refused to participate in Serbian Statehood Day celebrations
EU ambassadors did not take part in the traditional ceremony in honor of Serbian Statehood Day in Orašac.
The non-arrival of European ambassadors is due to the participation in the ceremony of the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, on the eve of the celebration of Serbian Statehood Day in Orašac, the place where the First Serbian Uprising against the Turks began in 1804, EU ambassadors said that they would not come there, as they did every year, if the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, was there .
“Should we change something and exclude the Republika Srpska leadership just because the ambassadors asked for it? – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic commented on the demarche of the Western ambassadors. “It doesn’t even occur to me to think about this.” Serbia is a country of proud, worthy people, Serbia is a serious country.”
In turn, the Chairman of the People's Assembly, Ivica Dacic, said that Western ambassadors may not come to Orašac, since Dodik interferes with them so much.

Serbs today have two states - the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, which is the guarantor of peace and security for every Serb, wherever he was not...
"Today, under the leadership of Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia is showing its best results in assisting the Republic of Srpska and is a guarantor of peace.... I simply see no reason why I and the leadership of the Republika Srpska should not be here, and I am grateful to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić for his decision this year to award one of the most important state awards to the President of the Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović," Milorad Dodik himself said, speaking at the ceremony.
