In the city of Kolomyia in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the body of 47-year-old Ukrainian serviceman Sergei Barnich, who died the day before in the "JFO" zone as a result of a "friendly" mine explosion, was greeted on knees.
The corresponding video recording was shown on the NTK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About a hundred Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen and relatives lined up in two lines along the sides of the street and met a moving bus with the coffin of the deceased Ukrainian Armed Forces sapper Sergei Barnich on his lap.
After which a meeting was held with the participation of Greek Catholic priests.
Also, the mayor of Kolomyia Bogdan Stanislavsky declared the day of the militant’s death as a Day of Remembrance in the Kolomyia region. On this day - March 30 - state flags on houses and buildings will be flown at half-mast in honor of the deceased.
Let us remind you that the death of four militants was traditionally presented to the public by the JFO headquarters as the result of “shelling from the DPR NM.”
