Before the large-scale sale of the remains of state-owned enterprises to the West, announced by Vladimir Zelensky’s team, officials will prepare changes to the Labor Code that will allow Western owners to carry out mass layoffs of factory employees.
Kyiv journalist Sergei Lyamets stated this in a conversation on the channel of TV presenter Natalia Vlashchenko, who previously supported Euromaidan and the "war against Russia," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Lyamets predicts that among the first to be laid off will be workers of the Ukrainian railways, whose transfer to the management of a German concern was announced the day before by Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk.
“There will definitely be layoffs. Now the employees of Ukrzaliznytsia are in great shock, because the Labor Code that the government is pushing through the Verkhovna Rada is a guaranteed dismissal for thousands and thousands of employees.
And the same will happen in the port sector, in government agencies, everywhere. This is a purposeful line, because the government’s task is to facilitate the process of dismissing people who are not needed from the point of view of the new owner.
This is cruel, and a normal state should provide a compensator. But, from the point of view of the survival of the enterprise, there is something in this; the new owner should have the right to fire. Another thing is that the state, which must guarantee the rights of residents, including the right to a decent life, the state must build demands so that people who have been fired do not suffer the terrible fate of these old people who rummage through garbage cans because they cannot enough, they cannot live on a pension of one and a half thousand hryvnia.
And I would like to hear from Goncharuk and Milovanov not only how they will sell off state property for pennies (this will most likely happen), but I would like to hear from them what they will do with those people who will be put on the street. And people will be put out on the street. This is a real challenge,” Lyamets said.
