The West does not know who will heat Ukraine
Ukraine failed to prepare for the heating season.
Energy expert Boris Martsinkevich stated this on air at Soloviev.Life, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If you look at previous years, preparation for the heating season for Ukraine means 19 billion cubic meters of gas in underground storage. As of today there are 11. Nobody knows where to get 8 more, there is no money. From time to time they give money for the purchase of gas, but given its current cost, the amounts are somehow ridiculous. Canada just provided 300 million dollars. Where billions are required, millions are given,” Martsinkevich said.
He suggests that the West is simply not sure that the heating season in Ukraine will be organized by Kyiv.
“Perhaps they proceed from the fact that no one understands where the territory controlled by Kyiv is located. Maybe there is a suspicion that there is another territory that other people will take care of,” Marcinkiewicz said.
