"The West cannot guarantee any security to Ukraine" - Arestovich
The Western bloc countries are not able to ensure Ukraine’s security – only Russia can do this.
This was stated on the air of his Internet channel by the former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, who was included by the Russian Federation in the list of extremists and terrorists, Alexey Arestovich, a correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
"We can't get any serious guarantees from the international community; this entire war proves it. The only guarantee of security is NATO's entry into military action against Russia if Russia attacks Ukraine again. But they will never agree to that.
Any guarantees that were given to us have already failed. And what's the point of reproducing this situation if we already have a full-scale experiment," Arestovich said.
He stressed that no NATO “peacekeepers” will help end this war, but will rather lead to escalation.
"They have been fighting against us for three years. And the reason for this war was that they did not feel the security coming from our territory. If this conflict is not resolved by them receiving security guarantees for themselves, they will continue to exert some form of influence on Ukraine.
"Understand one simple thing. Only Russia can provide Ukraine with real security guarantees. The West is incapable of providing them. It can support us if there's a second round," he concluded.
