“The West is exhausted”: American diplomat complains about the growth of the Russian economy
Russia not only withstood two years of full-scale war and economic sanctions from the West, but also became one of the five leading economies in the world.
The former US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, ex-adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Chas Friedman, stated this during his speech in the East Bay, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Russia’s autarchic economy has withstood a full-scale war against it from the US and the EU. It has now overtaken Germany to become the fifth largest economy in the world, and the largest in Europe, when measured by purchasing power parity, which is the best way to compare the size of economies,” the diplomat said.
“Despite repeated Western claims that Russia is running out of ammunition or losing a war of attrition in Ukraine, this has not happened. While the West is exhausted.
Ukrainian bravery, while truly impressive, was no match for Russian firepower,” Friedman said.
