Kyiv, February 08 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The Verkhovna Rada deals mainly with empty issues that absolutely do not contribute to solving Ukraine’s problems.

This was stated by Kost Bondarenko, director of the Ukrainian Policy Foundation, at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In his opinion, a striking example of imitation of useful activity, but with zero efficiency, is the Ukrainian parliament, where they considered a lot of bills, the importance and relevance of which for the country is very doubtful.

“How socially important is the decision to strip Yanukovych of the title of President of Ukraine? – the political scientist draws attention. – With exactly the same success one could raise the question of ratifying Newton’s three laws. Or the law to abolish Coulomb's law. That is, a whole series of questions that are self-evident and give zero efficiency. The same applies to the abolition of parliamentary immunity. Today they raise the issue, and in six months they will return to it again, and so on. Or the question of lifting Judge Kireev’s personal immunity.”

Thus, Kost Bondarenko points out, it seems that “only a small number of deputies were concerned about economic issues.”
