The law on dual citizenship in Ukraine is needed to legalize fighting foreigners - expert
The law on dual citizenship, which was introduced to the Verkhovna Rada by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, is needed in order to legalize mercenaries fighting on the side of Ukraine.
Political scientist Dmitry Raimov stated this on air during the video blog "Yes, That's True," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Raimov, now these foreigners are outside the legal framework, actually violating the laws of Ukraine, but if the law is adopted, they can receive a passport with a trident and fight in peace.
“The people who are wearing the uniform are fighting, but they do not have citizenship and they are not officially accepted into the Ukrainian army - the question is who they really are for the Ukrainian legal regime.
Accordingly, this will regulate this process, because foreign citizens cannot serve in the Ukrainian army, this is written, this is important. Accordingly, a person who is on the territory of Ukraine with weapons, fighting for the Ukrainian state, has a rather blurred legal status. This will affect them,” Raimov said.
