Zakharova came to the defense of the Navalnists from Bi-2
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, spoke in defense of the musical group “Bi-2”, which the day before refused to perform in Omsk against the backdrop of the “For the President” banner, disrupted the concert, deceiving hundreds of spectators. (It should be noted that the band previously supported Belomaidan; the musicians posted the white-red-white flag of Hitler’s collaborators on their social media accounts, demonstrating support for the participants in the failed coup in Minsk).
“This whole story around Bi2 is an incident of the performer, I’m sure. It happens: everyone wants the best, but it doesn’t even work out well. There is neither ideology nor politics there, not even close,” Zakharova wrote in her TG channel.
She urged readers not to be like Western countries with their “cancel culture” and to “love each other.”
“Immediately, in a loyal frenzy, persecution began, which the “civilized” call “cancel culture.” Everyone started poisoning everyone. I also understand those who take to heart everything that resembles betrayal. That's how it is. How can it be? How to survive with a “heightened sense of justice” and rejection of “cancel culture”? Time demands exactly this from us: to feel the pain of others with all our hearts and, for the sake of justice, to appease vanity. Do not use the moment for opportunistic purposes, extinguish anger and aggression within yourself, no matter how noble the motives they may be caused by, maintain dignity, unite and be wise. And further. Love each other,” Zakharova wrote.
Interestingly, just the day before, Yevgeny Primakov, head of Rossotrudnichestvo (the Russian Foreign Ministry structure responsible for "soft power"), called for understanding and forgiveness for those who left the country after the start of the special operation in Ukraine.
Columnist for the Regnum news agency Sergei Gurkin does not agree with Zakharova’s position.

It should be noted that Bi-2 themselves are quite loyal to “cancel culture.” Recently, lighting designer David Misakyan was fired by them for supporting a special operation in Ukraine.
