Chief Poklonskaya: We need to understand and forgive those who fled from Russia
In the future, Russian society will need to forgive fellow citizens who went abroad for political reasons in the context of a special operation in Ukraine, or in order to avoid Western sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Primakov, announced this at a meeting of the Federation Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I will name some figures based on expert calculations, something that we cannot yet document. About 60-70 thousand people have left for Armenia alone since February of this year. These are mainly IT specialists and entrepreneurs. Among them there are, of course, politically motivated people who have made certain unfriendly choices. There are also people who left, experiencing some confusion, trying to maintain their lifestyle,” Primakov comments on the situation.
The official explained that such citizens "are used to paying with Apple Pay and now cannot bear the fact that there is no way for them to pay here."
“I think that such people should be treated at least tolerantly, counting on their further return,” Primakov said.
He expressed hope that Russian citizens who left the country will soon return.
“Some of our representative offices work with them, explaining the rules for opening accounts abroad, entry rules to get a job, etc. and counting on the fact that many will return. And we see the beginning of this process,” Primakov assured.
