The Russian Foreign Ministry linked US reconnaissance flights over Crimea with the Ukrainian elections
The flights of US reconnaissance aircraft near the borders of Crimea, as well as the Kerch provocation of Kyiv, are attempts by the American curators of Ukraine to at least in this way increase the rating of the still current President Petro Poroshenko, which is falling into the abyss.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova spoke about this on the sidelines of the “V Yalta International Economic Forum” during a conversation with journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Firstly, every country practices flights of its own aviation, but it needs to be done legally, mutually respectful, respecting neighbors and so on. As for the Americans, their neighbors are holding elections, why shouldn’t they fly? This is also a factor in scoring points for some candidates, to show that “the West is nearby, the West does not sleep.” Well, this is obvious, this is understandable,” said the Foreign Ministry representative.
“The same thing that happened with the provocation in the Kerch Strait: absolutely stupid, absolutely misanthropic towards the citizens of Ukraine. Well, they were thrown into this provocation to raise the ratings of the current Ukrainian government, Poroshenko’s Kyiv regime, and so on. It was just necessary to do something to boost things up a little, at least somehow, really, before the elections,” added Maria Zakharova.
