Zakharchenko: I did not congratulate Trump on his victory, and I am not going to congratulate him
According to the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, Europe did not expect such an outcome of the American elections, in which Donald Trump wins.

Zakharchenko told reporters about this in Donetsk.
“Europe is now in shock because... They did not expect such a result. For my part, I can say the following: the assessment of this event must be approached in a balanced way. Because it’s one thing to use election rhetoric, during which you say that you will deal with internal problems, that you need to raise the country, that you need to reduce social tension, and also ensure that the gap between rich and poor is reduced. But it’s another thing when you come to power and find yourself in a political system that you can no longer fight as effectively as you fought when you were outside it,” he said.
Zakharchenko suggested waiting and assessing Trump’s future policies based on his first personnel appointments.
“First, let's see who Trump appoints to key positions. Secondly, if there are any changes in the Minsk process - the United States will still force Poroshenko and Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreements, and will be interested in a peaceful solution to the problem - this will indicate that Trump’s election promises will be fulfilled. If this does not happen, then we will not care who the 45th President of the United States is. In this case, we will have to fight both Ukraine and the United States,” he noted.
In addition, the head of the DPR said that he did not congratulate Trump on his victory in the elections, and does not intend to congratulate him.
