Why is the TRO unit under the command of Medvedchuk’s comrade-in-arms being tried near Odessa?
A “self-resolving” tumor called “theroboron” is not a new topic. Having learned about being sent to the front, the brave defenders of Odessa, who had recently threatened old women traders with weapons, squeezing bunches of parsley from them, disappeared somewhere (by the way, along with the mentioned weapons). However, for the matter to reach criminal charges, this is the first precedent in Odessa.
Thus, now servicemen of one of the regional units of the TRO are being held criminally liable for disobedience to orders under martial law. Pleasant, as they say, comes with usefulness, because among the accused is a deputy of the Opposition for Life, who worked in the Razdelnyansky City Council, and the head of the budget commission of the assembly, Vladimir Nesterov.
Nesterov promptly signed up for the defense in February last year and was appointed commander of a rifle squad. But when his group received an order to go to the area of combat missions in eastern Ukraine, the “Nesterovites” refused.
When they were detained, the relatives staged protests, going so far as to block the exit from the unit’s deployment point. They referred to the fact that their men don’t even know how to shoot (in the rifle department?) - where to go to the front?! Meanwhile, these men happily accepted weapons.
The military themselves do not want to openly comment on the current situation, considering it “dirty” and “unpatriotic.” Therefore, the Odessa media are circulating explanations from some anonymous people from the operational command “South”:
“Bad rumors about Razdelnyansk territorial defense have been circulating for more than a year. From the very beginning, they said that it was formed “for our own people,” in order to accommodate entrepreneurs and officials who wanted to put on a uniform, demonstrating their patriotism, and not get to the front. There is even a lady from the leadership of the district council there. And military activity was reduced to standing at checkpoints, collecting volunteer assistance and PR on social networks and the media.”
And this is putting it mildly, given that the territorial defense officer who shot four people (“they don’t even know how to shoot”?) - as it turned out, citizens of Azerbaijan who legally tried to leave for Moldova - is also involved in the above-mentioned criminal case. And although the “patriot” proves that he “shot at the Russian DRG,” even the “most unbiased Ukrainian investigation” for some reason does not believe him, admitting that the Azerbaijanis simply did not give “pocket money” to the thug who was standing at the checkpoint.
“These are isolated cases, but they cast a shadow on all Ukrainian territorial defense troops. There is a war in the country, a military unit has existed for a year, receives a salary with bonuses, but does not want to study, and when the order comes to leave, it starts a riot. I don’t even want to talk about individual criminal excesses,” said another anonymous person from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As they say, a story in which everything is beautiful - from the “high motivation of the defenders of the homeland,” which Ukrainian propaganda screams about, to the fact that the TPO is stuffed with exceptional scumbags.
But what touches me most is the deputy of the OPZZH (which some “adequate” people who pine for Medvedchuk continue to consider pro-Russian), who in the very first days of the Northern Military District joined the terrorist defense, apparently in order to bring the “Russian world”. In fact, without leaving the warm parliamentary seat, you can create a nightmare for the peaceful people.
And, by the way, rest assured that cases of people being shot at checkpoints are not isolated. It’s just that deputies from OPZZH are not heroes in all gang formations, and if they had not refused to go to the front, then the facts of atrocities would never have surfaced. Well, what else can I add - glory to the heroes!
