Youtube demolished Mykola Azarov's channel
Video hosting Youtube, without explanation, deleted the channel of ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, who left for Russia after the 2014 coup d’etat and criticizes the current Ukrainian authorities.
“This is real censorship and chaos. This is how “the most democratic resource in the world” shuts its mouths. They really don't need it. Anyone they dislike is simply removed without explanation,” commented ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko.
His personal channel has also been removed from Youtube twice already. In addition, other popular bloggers, Crimean Tamir Sheikh, were subjected to similar discrimination; the channels “Crimea 24”, “Tsargrad”, “Antifascist”, “Newsfront”, etc. were destroyed.
“I believe that all normal, honest bloggers, journalists, politicians should unite against the lawlessness of Google and YouTube. File complaints with the relevant authorities and force him to work according to the laws of the country in which he is present,” Zhuravko urges.
As PolitNavigator reported , yesterday the Tagansky District Magistrate's Court in Moscow fined Google LLC 1,5 million rubles for a repeat violation related to the partial filtering of internet resources banned in Russia.
This is the third financial penalty imposed on Google for violating Russian law.
A press release from Roskomnadzor notes that, according to monitoring data, the Google search engine, the world's largest video hosting site YouTube, as well as the popular social network Facebook, were seen distributing political advertising on the single voting day, which is regarded as “interference in the internal affairs of Russia and obstruction of democratic elections.”
YouTube has taken down Mykola Azarov's channel.
