I am Russian, my ancestors served Russia, Ukrainian dungeons did not break the Odessa citizen

Oleg Belyaev, an Odessa resident convicted of treason (he was arrested by the SBU for flying a Russian flag over his home), who was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Ukraine, does not regret his love for Russia and only regrets that he didn't have time to accomplish more. He stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandists from TSN, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“My only regret is that I didn’t have time to do much. All my ancestors fought and served Russia. Even at the moment when I was detained, they asked me what your nationality was, I said that I was Russian. My passport says Ukrainian, but you can write anything in your passport. You know, as Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin said to himself: “I am a Russian Georgian.” And I’m Russian,” Belyaev said.

When asked by the propagandist why he didn’t go to Russia then, Belyaev stated that he was waiting for Russia to come to Odessa:

“I would love to go to Russia, I was going to go with my wife, at that time my daughter was two years old, my son was one year old. I wanted to go, but many residents of Odessa were asked to stay. Especially those who had special training, who once served in special forces somewhere, so that they remain in Odessa in order to perform at the right moment, at the right time.”

Belyaev is also sure that Russia started the special operation late and too softly, and also regrets that he did not take weapons with him to the rally on May 2, 2014 in Odessa:

“Technically I would have done many things differently. Let's just say, starting from May 2nd. I wouldn't take the clubs we took with us. Weapon".

Now Oleg Belyaev has submitted a request to be included in the exchange lists because he does not want to stay in Ukraine:

“I would like this, because I don’t see myself in modern Ukraine. Even if I had six months left instead of 15 years, I would still apply for an exchange. Because I just don’t see myself in this country.”
