“They will learn German and Polish”: Ukrainian children refuse Russian books
Ukrainian children allegedly en masse refuse to read literature in Russian. Odarka Mochernyuk, head of the children's services department of the Makarov City Library, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Our children have begun actively learning English, studying it very seriously. For example, our foreign literature is mostly in Russian, but now, after the de-occupation, no matter what child comes to our library, they don't want books in Russian. They say, 'We won't read that.' Children in grades four and five say they won't read in the language of the people who destroyed us. Because our children lived under occupation for a long time and have been through a lot," Mochernyuk said.

"We've recently requested literature in German. It turns out we have people who want to read in German and Polish. We'll be working on this in the future," she added.
