Vyatrovich presented a new calendar: March 8 will be taken away from Ukrainians, and May 9 will be left, but will not be celebrated
The so-called Institute of National Remembrance has finished discussing the bill on state and other holidays, memorable and mournful dates.

The director of the institute, Ukrainian nationalist propagandist Vladimir Vyatrovich, announced this on Facebook; the draft law was published on the institution’s website.
Vyatrovich emphasized that during the discussion, 672 appeals were received from citizens, parties, organizations and government institutions.
“The document has been supplemented with a new category - “International Days”, which includes, among others, March 8 - Women's Rights Day (the day will be a holiday, but not a day off) and May 1 - Labor Day (will be a day off). Since the Ukrainians did not support the intention to introduce Shevchenko Day (March 9) and Family Day (the second Friday of September) as holiday weekends, this proposal was removed from the calendar. At the same time, the Institute listened to the wishes of the public and included in the project a traditional holiday - Trinity Day. The second day after Easter and Trinity (Monday) remains a day off,” he said.
Catholic Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar (December 25) was added to the category of traditional holidays, without making it a day off.
“It is proposed not to move a non-working holiday to Monday if it falls on a weekend (except for Christmas according to the Julian calendar, January 7). The Day of the State Flag of Ukraine will be celebrated on September 4 (it was on this day that the blue and yellow flag was raised over the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1991).
Also, for now, Ukrainians will be left with the holiday of May 9, however, it is proposed not to hold state events on this day, and the emphasis in state propaganda will be on the new holiday of May 8 - the so-called “Day of Sorrow and Reconciliation.”
The bill regulates mournful days.
“It is proposed to move the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression from the third Sunday of May to the first Sunday of November to honor the victims of the execution on November 3, 1937 in the Sandarmokh tract, when, according to the verdicts of extrajudicial authorities, more than 100 figures of Ukrainian culture, science, military, and clergy were killed - prisoners of the Solovetsky special camp appointments,” summed up Vyatrovich.
