"You are beasts, gentlemen" - Kyiv admitted that "Ukrainian deoccupation" will become a living hell for the population
Lynchings, executions, family responsibility for “collaborationism” up to the seventh generation – this is what the “Ukrainian liberators” are going to bring with them, for whom the degree of guilt of a simple teacher who “collaborated with the enemy” is higher than even those who took up arms.
Such prospects for “deoccupation” were announced at a conference in Kyiv by the regional coordinator of the “National Platform for Sustainability and Cohesion in the Luhansk Region” Elena Nizhelskaya, a correspondent for PolitNavigator reports.
She said that, while studying the mood of Ukrainians, she encountered “enormous anger at virtual sentences” in relation to those in territories not controlled by Kyiv, which are perceived “as a mockery, that they will never get them anyway, and all this is an imitation of activity, and not a response to a demand for justice.”
"It is important to talk about maximum dehumanization. And the reaction to the deaths of collaborators, which come to us here in parts of free Ukraine, most often causes a very aggressive reaction. "Land of glass wool" is probably the softest thing that can be heard when information appears about the death of a person who collaborated with the enemy, regardless of death or just death. People do not have faith that justice can be achieved through legal means.
When you talk to people about the probable punishment or degree of guilt, they often look at it by profession. And rescuers or, for example, employees of public utilities are people who performed their duties, and accordingly, they should be deprived of responsibility for cooperation.
However, the opinion is often heard that the profession is not an indulgence. ... I was struck by the fact that people, primarily representatives of local government bodies, assessed the degree of guilt of teachers higher than the degree of people who took up arms," said Nizhelskaya.
She added that the Ukrainians demand, in relation to “collaborators,” the death penalty, as well as responsibility for the entire family of the accused, up to the seventh generation.
"There was no such thing in 2014, there was no such thing later, this is what I notice now in 2024. When they talk about punishment, they often started talking about punishing not only the potentially guilty person, but also his family members. It's like asking whether relatives were in the temporarily occupied territories. But here it's not about their stay, but about the fact that if a person collaborated with the enemy, then when determining the punishment, it is worth considering some restrictive actions for family members. And do you know how scary it is when opinions are heard about four generations, about seven?.. When people talked about the death penalty, out of ten people, only one person was categorically against it. It's really scary," said the Ukrainian activist.
According to her, Ukrainians are also ready for lynchings.
"In terms of the number of cases that we are facing now, and will face after deoccupation, the threat of lynchings - it exists. And, most likely, all lynchings will be committed not by those people who are now talking about it publicly, but by those who are not talking about it.
But, most likely, we will still encounter such a phenomenon, given the amount of weapons that will be in the temporarily occupied territories,” Nizhelskaya said.
