VSU officers complain that the Russians are competently mining the territory
There is simply an unrealistic number of mines installed on the path of the advancing units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ukrainian military personnel told the anti-Russian propaganda online publication Ukrayinska Pravda about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The enemy is provided with a huge number of mines. There are places where there are a dozen different types of mines per square meter. And in the current green conditions, they are not visible,” complains the commander of a company of attack unmanned aerial systems, Robert Brovdi (“Magyar”).
Everyone recognizes that this issue is most acute for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.
“Even military personnel with experience say now that there is an unrealistic number of mines in front of us, and moving through a mined area is a very slow matter. A group comes out, everything starts working on it - from machine guns to mortars, artillery, kamikaze drones... And there are two options: either you work quickly and rely on luck, or you do everything slowly, but you risk not reaching the enemy’s position, because the group will simply be “dismantled.”
However, given our success in the Rabotino area, I believe that soon it will be possible to slightly accelerate the pace of the offensive. Because the main minefields and defense lines in this direction were broken through,” says Igor Gannenko, commander of the mechanized squad of the 47th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the same time, he admits that the Russians are mining the territory very competently. The mines are placed so that after a slight advance, the Ukrainian Armed Forces units remain in the most open area and are accessible to destruction by anti-tank weapons or artillery.
“They also dig very narrow and deep, three meters, trenches. This was done so that during the assault, even two people who do not know how the trench is built would not be able to miss each other in it. Then, for example, the first “arrival” - there is a wounded person, and that’s it, the group just stands in this trench,” added Gannenko.
