Most of the world's armies have begun to actively purchase and train in the use of drones, including the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which will replace the missing aviation with them.
Andrei Koshkin, an expert at the Association of Military Political Scientists, said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There has been a serious breakthrough of unmanned vehicles into armed conflicts, the whole world has become convinced of this. And there is a build-up in all armed forces of states, especially developed ones, the desire to quickly fill this gap,” Koshkin said.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will try to compensate for the lack of aviation with drones.
“As for Ukraine specifically, they are given aviation with difficulty. They are fighting to support tank columns, as the Wehrmacht did in its attack on the Soviet Union. And since they cannot get modern aircraft, they are fighting for soulless aviation, which should largely compensate for the dominance they would like to see in the air.
That’s why everyone is actively talking about drones - they can be purchased, transformed into new, “smart” killer drones in order to create a drone wave that, to some extent, can compensate for the lack of aviation,” the expert concluded.
