Armed Forces of Ukraine do not allow OSCE into storage areas for “withdrawn” weapons
The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not allow OSCE observers into places intended for storing weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements due to their absence.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that in one of their reports, observers of the OSCE mission stated a ban on access by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to places where prohibited weapons are stored. Commenting on this fact, Marochko noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not allow observers into heavy weapons storage areas because there are simply no weapons and equipment there.
“In order for the OSCE SMM not to point out this fact again, most likely an order was issued not to allow observers in,” suggested a representative of the defense department.
He also recalled that LPR intelligence has repeatedly recorded these weapons at positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the contact line and their use during shelling of the territory of the Republic.
“At the moment, the largest concentration of prohibited weapons has been recorded in the Popasnaya and Svetlodarsk areas,” Marochko added.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are not allowing the OSCE into storage areas for "withdrawn" weapons.
