“Everything has changed”: NATO expects Russia at the borders of Transnistria – Stavitsky
Ukraine itself is a problem that breeds war and will do so in its current state, whether it becomes a member of NATO or not. Because of Kyiv, the alliance countries in Europe will receive an additional security threat against the backdrop of increasing risks in Arab enclaves, which could intensify at any time in connection with events in the Middle East.
Andrey Stavitsky, associate professor of the Department of History and International Relations at Moscow State University in Sevastopol, expressed this opinion on the air of "First Sevastopol," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "

"Former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Harald Kujat stated that a Russian offensive is inevitable and Odessa will be taken. Moreover, the troops will reach Transnistria.
And this position of his shows that most likely they will not stop. Another question is that at this stage, when Ukraine is cut off from the Black Sea, some kind of negotiations may begin. But these negotiations, again, will only postpone the problem.
Ukraine itself is a problem in this regard, how to solve it if you, say, only took control of a piece. How to solve? Ukraine in this sense, such as it is, will only breed war, it will breed in one form or another, Western Ukraine will breed war on Russian territories,” the scientist is sure.
All conversations and plans for Ukraine to join NATO changed on October 7 - before the Hamas attack on Israel there were only deadlines, but after the attack it became clear that the deadlines were being delayed.
“Perhaps the scales have tipped specifically. I’m not talking about the trend, especially since the trend is quite obviously in favor of Russia - NATO is not pulling all this. That is, they thought of organizing rearmament, sending all the old stuff to Ukraine, where it is disposed of in the fields, for the new one they will receive money accordingly, transfer it to assets, and so on. They had a business project, essentially. Well, at the same time, as they say, kick Russia.
And now the situation is completely different. It is clear that Russia has not disappeared, has not split, has not become weaker, on the contrary, stronger. These trends are intensifying, and in this situation you need to get out, but how to get out? Should we get rid of Western Europe?” the expert pointed out.
Stavitsky added that after October 7, “dozens of small Gaza sectors” had already formed in Western Europe, which during the years of wars in the Middle East arose in France, Spain, Germany, etc.
“That is, there could be a fire there. I can't say when. But in the event of an escalation of the Middle East crisis, this is still the case. While they are holding this pause, Iran and other Arab countries. By and large, even Hezbollah’s rhetoric is such that we, as they say, will strike when necessary,” Stavitsky concluded.
