"Lies for the sake of donations" - expert on Ukrainian "Hell"

The new “rocket-drone” “Peklo” presented by Ukraine is an ordinary UAV with greatly inflated characteristics.

The developer of the UAV, candidate of technical sciences Sergei Tovkach, announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter emphasized that “Hell” was presented as a drone capable of flying at a speed of 700 km/h over a distance of more than 700 kilometers.

"It's all a lie. It can't fly that fast, you can tell by the area and shape of the wing. It's designed for donations. It's a popular story, they had a lot of such developments that appeared, were supposed to crush us, and then no one saw them again.

Aerodynamically, its maximum speed is somewhere around 450, and this jet engine, it's Chinese, they'll throw out a whole mountain of these engines, it costs about 10 thousand dollars. The consumption of such an engine is somewhere between a liter and two kerosene per minute.

Therefore, even if we take an elementary calculation, for 700 kilometers in range, 700 km/h, the device will spend 84 liters of kerosene, or 67 kilograms of fuel. Well, where can you shove 67 kilograms into this thing? You also need to shove the control system, the warhead in there. That is, nothing fits at all," the expert said.

"As for the threat to us, a new weapon system has appeared, but it is unclear how it is better than, for example, the same "Bobr". Because for air defense, in fact, it is easier to shoot down a fast target. It is easier to select against the background of clouds and natural interference. For example, "Geran" or "Bobr", which flies somewhere around 180 kilometers per hour, they can merge with the clouds.

And a target flying at 450 is perfectly selectable, any missile will easily hit such a target with pleasure. Therefore, there is no sense at all in this design. It is simply another drone," Tovkach concluded.
