The risks of Russian officials being captured by Ukraine have increased
Russia began to refuse to accept EU aircraft that began to fly over Belarus.
Thus, on May 26, an AirFrance flight from Paris to Moscow was canceled, and a similar incident occurred the next day. In addition, the Austrian flight was cancelled.

Political scientist Marat Bashirov suggests that Moscow now fears that the Russians will be captured by the Ukrainians.
“Obviously, the Austrians were planning to fly through Ukraine, which is ready to land foreign planes without any reports of false mining. And many Russian civil servants and top managers of state-owned companies fly to Austria. This, I think, is what caused Moscow’s decision. The risks of capturing our citizens have increased sharply,” the expert told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
According to him, this “Pandora’s box” was not opened by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
“A year ago, Kyiv was going to do such a trick with 33 Russian Wagnerites who were lured to Minsk,” Bashirov recalled.
