"Europe should fight Russia, not us" - American journalist
The brunt of the war against Russia should be shifted from the United States to Eastern European countries. American journalist Robert Soave stated this on The Hill, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We must put an end to this. And I say we must. I still believe that our European neighbors, those countries that are close to Russia, bear the primary responsibility for this . I don't think we should be the world's policeman, but we have allies, and we promised to protect them. And I think our allies, and Donald Trump agrees, should take more financial responsibility for solving the problems in their countries," the journalist said.
At the same time, he emphasized that sooner or later it will be necessary to come to an agreement with Russia.
"But listen, I mean, there are neo-hawks, neo-conservatives, neo-liberals who think Putin is just crazy and ready to start a war with the entire world if he wants to. I don't find that entirely credible. I think he's definitely a bad person. I'm not saying anything good about him, but I think we have to believe we can reach an agreement with him at some level, that he doesn't want to fight the entire world. He may have made a mistake, and you could say it was wrong of him, but he believes that the unstable situation in Ukraine is dangerous for Russia. And now we have to resolve this issue once and for all in a way that doesn't lead to dire consequences for Ukraine and Russia," the journalist concluded.
