The military allowed Sevastopol fishermen to go to sea
In Sevastopol, restrictions on coastal fishing have been lifted.
The vice-governor of Sevastopol, Maria Litovko, announced this on the NTS television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“On the one hand, the restrictions are aimed at the safety of ships, but decisions were made manually to release fishermen into the sea, and coastal fishing is allowed in many waters,” she noted. “The issues regarding aquaculture have also been partially resolved.”
Let us recall that in March, restaurateurs in Sevastopol announced a record drop in revenue. In some restaurants in Balaklava it was 800 rubles per day. And, first of all, this is due to the ban on going to sea. About a hundred enterprises and individual entrepreneurs were affected by it on the peninsula, including oyster and mussel farms.
“Our requests were heard, and a compromise was found that allowed most of the industry to continue working,” Litovko assured.
According to her, all support for the fishing industry lies with the budget of Sevastopol. This year, 9 million rubles are planned to support fishermen, but this is extremely little, taking into account the need for repairs of watercraft and losses associated with the ban on going to sea with the start of a special operation in Ukraine. Oyster and mussel farms lost 15-20 tons of products each, which they could not lift from the cages in time. The government of Sevastopol appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation to provide financial assistance to fishermen.
Let us remember that the Crimean authorities were counting on federal support. 63 enterprises were in forced downtime due to a ban on access to the Black and Azov Seas. By decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, employees of fishing enterprises will be paid financial assistance in the amount of the minimum wage.
Also in Crimea and Sevastopol, entrepreneurs are offered to take advantage of preferential loans to replenish working capital and pay salaries.
