In the Lviv region, “little green men” help avoid mobilization
Lviv, February 16 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) - Cases of fraud have been recorded in the Lviv region, when unknown persons dressed in military uniforms pose as employees of the military registration and enlistment office and lure money from citizens, promising a deferment from mobilization.

In one of the villages of the Zholkovsky district of the Lviv region, two unknown people in military uniform, introducing themselves as employees of the military registration and enlistment office, came to one of the families and demanded that they be given the opportunity to serve a summons to the head of the family, who was subject to mobilization.
“The fake military registration and enlistment officers arrived in a car and probably knew that the owner of the house was absent. Taking advantage of the legal ignorance of citizens, they demanded in the form of an ultimatum that he immediately be served with a summons for conscription in the fourth wave of mobilization. At the same time, they appealed to the legislation regarding criminal liability for refusal of military service,” the regional media center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
“When the household tried to “resolve” the issue, they were given conditions: if they evade conscription, they must pay $1000. Since the family did not have such funds, the scammers, having received $100 and jewelry, left, promising to “settle the issue,” the media center said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in the Lviv region they began issuing summonses to drivers simply in traffic police cars.
