This opinion is expressed by Ukrainian political scientist, senior analyst at the International Center for Advanced Studies Anatoly Oktisyuk, who is quoted by Apostrophe.

“Now Poroshenko is not thinking about new formats, but about how to maintain power for as long as possible. For the Ukrainian authorities, the situation is such that the change in the international situation, uncertainty in the Donbass, and the unprofitability of the Minsk process contribute to strong “hawkish” sentiments in politics and among the elites. These constant provocations could push the Ukrainian side into the active phase of the war. Therefore, I am inclined to believe that it is not Minsk-3 that awaits us, but a new escalation of the conflict, a new war,” the expert believes.
