“From attempts to create a pocket by cutting off supply routes at the neck of the bridgehead, the enemy switched to the tactics of “displacing” Ukrainian troops from the area. The strike is carried out in two converging directions through the settlements of Chernukhino and Uglegorsk directly to Debaltseve with the aim of forcing the Ukrainian units located in the city itself and to the south of it to retreat to the north,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“In total, about 3,5 thousand people, 35 tanks, and about 90 armored combat vehicles (AFVs) are currently participating in active operations in the area of the Debaltsevo bridgehead,” he said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the DPR stated that a Ukrainian group of up to 8,5 thousand people was in the “cauldron” near Debaltsevo. At the same time, in a number of regions there are already calls for protests against the actions of Kyiv, which led to this state of affairs at the front.
Instead of a "cauldron," the militia used a different tactic near Debaltseve, says Tymchuk.
