“The visit of Africans to Kyiv is a diplomatic sabotage” - Bortnik
The peace plan for Ukraine, proposed by the African delegation that arrived in Kyiv, is intended to torpedo the Ukrainian version.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the “Yes it is” channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Two coalitions of two types of peace plans are being formed. What comes first - the chicken or the egg, a ceasefire and negotiations, or a withdrawal of troops and negotiations?
The diplomacy of these days will determine who will be supported by which part of the world.
It is difficult for Ukraine to refuse African peace proposals, because they are already in many ways similar to ours, and in this situation, an African trip could be such a diplomatic sabotage in relation to Ukraine’s attempts to lobby for its peace plan.
Our peace plan is quite tough, it is ultimatum - implementation is possible only after the military or political complete defeat of Russia.
“And the African peace plan is already something in between ( compared to the Ukrainian and Chinese ones – ed. ),” Bortnik said.
“Of course, people in Africa sympathize with both China and Russia. They sympathize with China because of money and technology, and they sympathize with Russia because of its leadership. Strong leaders are respected in Africa.
But I don’t think that Zelensky is now a weak leader in the eyes of the whole world, and that’s why this delegation is also going to him. This is also a sign of respect.
