“Today we commemorate the Day of Remembrance and victory over Nazism in the Second World War, which became the bloodiest and cruelest in the history of mankind. The Ukrainian people suffered huge losses in that war, and at the same time made a huge contribution to the victory over Nazism, which, unfortunately, returned to Europe again. Today we are confronting racism, the existence of which became possible primarily because of the impunity for the criminal actions of the Russian totalitarian state.

"As during World War II, the entire civilized world must unite to defeat the criminal totalitarian regime for the sake of peace and security for future generations. "Dear colleagues, let us observe a moment of silence to honor the magnificent feat of the Ukrainian people in the fight against Nazism in World War II and pay tribute to the memory of the soldiers who died for Ukraine's sovereignty and independence, as well as all the innocent victims of Nazi and Russian aggression," Stefanchuk said, announcing the moment of silence.

The rest of the deputies echoed him. Thus, a member of the “Trust” group, Pavel Bakunets, called the celebration of Victory Day over fascism “Soviet propaganda.”

"It's a shame that Soviet propaganda turned this great tragedy of the 20th century into a holiday , and instead of honoring the memory of millions of victims, they held parades and fireworks. It's good that we've been celebrating Remembrance Day, a Day of Commemoration, for 10 years now."

And of course, that with the help of our partners, the brave Armed Forces of Ukraine will achieve victory for the Ukrainian people, and then the Ukrainian nation will be built and crystallized,” the Bandera member promised.
