The “Great Gas State” has surpassed Russia in supplies to Ukraine
Ukraine is completely dependent on Russian energy supplies, and no “reverse” of gas from Europe, which President Poroshenko boasted about, actually exists.
Rossiya Segodnya MIA columnist Sergei Savchuk stated this on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Two weeks ago, Dmitry Medvedev announced that Russia had introduced a number of restrictions against Ukraine as a countermeasure. It was reported that Russia had completely banned the supply of oil, oil-based products and a number of other energy resources, including coal. The fact is that there is not exactly a ban, but Russia has introduced a rather interesting mechanism, which consists of issuing special permits for the supply of all these energy resources.
You need to understand that Ukraine is totally dependent on Russia, no matter what Kyiv says, no matter what gas victories they talk about. Let's start with the fact that Ukraine buys 72% of its total demand for the same coal from Russia, that is, Ukraine buys almost 2/3 of coal from us. The same applies to petroleum products and, naturally, gas, because there is no physical reversal of natural gas from Europe. Ukraine is simply taking gas from a pipeline or from underground gas storage facilities in the Lviv region, which are located on the border with Poland, and simply buying gas from one or another owner in Europe: from Slovenia, from Slovakia, from Poland, and so on.
The most interesting fact that the Kyiv authorities are hiding is that the main supplier of natural gas, judging by the volumes and amounts of transactions, is Switzerland - the “great gas state”, which supplies gas to the territory of Ukraine.
In my personal opinion, counter-sanctions were prepared in advance, and this will be a very powerful lever of influence and a very strong trump card in the upcoming negotiations, which, of course, will take place, at which Mr. Zelensky and his newly recruited team, which, as already stated, will include a large number of Western consultants, normalization will be proposed, including in the energy field,” the analyst concluded.
